A small town girl in a big city world
Cats
Growing up I never had pets as my dad dislikes cats and my mom was afraid of dogs. When every one of my friends had hamsters, I for some reason, was not allowed. So one of the reasons I answered the ad for my room back in May was because the ad stated " 2 cats " I imagined falling asleep at night with a cat cuddled at the end of my bed, like in the movies.
Well I had overlooked the fact that the cats would be attached to their "mom" Aubree and only when she was away would they venture into my room and even then I'd have to be still, like when you are watching a rare bird, as with the slight movement they'd run like the wind.Clem is quite the scaredy cat.
Well this weekend, Aubree has been away to her hometown, and while I am not enjoying the fact she is away, I sure do enjoy the sudden attention from Clem and Gemma. They've both been starving for attention and I have to admit I like being the babysitter. It's amazing how amusing 2 cats can be. I could sit and watch them for hours. I've become the proud surrogate cat owner. Sometimes when talking about them, I mistakenly call them "our" cats, I religiously check Stuffonmycat.com, hoping that today is the day they make the cut, because in my eyes Clem and Gemma are the cutest cats of all. Maybe I'm destined to be a crazy cat lady with 100 cats, who knows?
